Rope Bowls, Baskets, Coasters, & Trivets Virtual Workshop

$125.00

Learn the joy of turning simple rope & scraps of fabric into beautiful functional forms! We will start by coiling rope into coasters & trivets, then graduate to bowl & basket shapes. You will learn how to shape the form, insert fabric if desired, & create a variety of useful vessels & forms. I have these all over my house as beverage coasters, under plant pots, storage organizers, key bowl, & more! It’s much easier than it seems, highly additive, & they make impressive gifts too!

Since having the correct rope for the bowls is key, 200’ of rope is included in the cost of the workshop, including shipping!

If you want to incorporate fabric scraps into your projects, you can do that too! Medium and light weight woven fabrics made from natural fibers, cut into 1/2-1” bias strips are best.

This is a 1-part class, with 3 hours of class time.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Your rope kit will be sent to the billing address used when placing your order. If you prefer your package sent to an address different from your billing address, please contact me within 48 hours of placing your order. Because of mailing limitations, the rope kit can only be mailed to US addresses. If you are outside of the US & want to attend this workshop, please contact me to discuss.

  • Attendance is limited to ensure personal one-on-one attention

  • Workshops are led virtually through Zoom, a free video conferencing software that can be downloaded here

  • Students will need access to a computer, smart phone, or tablet with internet access to participate in the workshop (note: the bigger your screen, the easier it is to see the action!)

  • I teach using two cameras, so you can always see a close up of each step being taught, as well as have face to face interaction

  • A Zoom link & password will be emailed a day ahead of the first class session to the email address used in checkout, so be sure to type your email correctly upon checkout

  • Workshop sessions will be recorded so students that get behind, or need to miss a session, can rewatch the previous lesson & catch up

  • The focus of my workshops are on construction & technique. Fit is discussed, but due to the nature of Zoom workshops, fitting instruction is limited

Return Policy: Please note that there are no returns or refunds on workshops. The number of students is limited to ensure a good learning experience for each student, so when you reserve your spot, that is held for you, whether you attend or not. If you cannot attend the classes live during their scheduled time, students will still be able to learn by following along with the workshop recordings. Thank you for understanding!
