Audrey Jacket Virtual Workshop
The Audrey Jacket from Seamwork is a classic jean jacket. But, that doesn’t mean you have to make it from denim! This can be sewn up in any mid-weight fabric you like. I taught this at Camp Workroom Social in the autumn, & my students had much success! I knew I had to bring it to my virtual classes to teach to all of you that couldn’t attend camp. In this workshop we will learn all the things: topstitching, faux flat fell seams, welt pockets, hardware, & more! We will meet weekly, to allow time for doing homework each week, & so those that miss a session can keep up.
This is a 8-part class, with 15 hours of class time.

Ideal fabrics are cotton canvas, cotton twill, denim, & corduroy. Make sure your machine can handle sewing through multiple layers of your chosen fabric.

If you plan to do contrasting topstitching, in addition to thread that matches your fabric, you will also want one spool of topstitching thread, & a spool in the SAME color but of REGULAR weight.

VIRTUAL WORKSHOP DETAILS:
Workshops are taught by me, Christine Haynes, live from my home studio
Attendance is limited to ensure personal one-on-one attention
Workshops are led virtually through Zoom, a free video conferencing software that can be downloaded here
Students will need access to a computer, smart phone, or tablet with internet access to participate in the workshop (note: the bigger your screen, the easier it is to see the action!)
I teach using two cameras, so you can always see a close up of each step being taught, as well as have face to face interaction
A Zoom link & password will be emailed a day ahead of the first class session to the email address used in checkout, so be sure to type your email correctly upon checkout
Workshop sessions will be recorded so students that get behind, or need to miss a session, can rewatch the previous lesson & catch up
The focus of my workshops are on construction & technique. Fit is discussed, but due to the nature of Zoom workshops, fitting instruction is limited
