We will sew this fun pattern up in a weekend intensive! Part 1 is a 2-hour prep session, & parts 2 & 3 are 4-hours each, with a 15 minute break. Join us!
This is a 3-part class, with 10 hours of class time.

SUPPLY LIST:
The Hillside Tote pattern by Noodlehead
Note: this pattern comes in both printed & digital formats. However, please note that neither include pattern pieces. I will help you create your pattern pieces in our prep class.
Fat quarter - 1/2 yard of medium weight woven fabric for the bag exterior. Fabric quantity depends on view being sewn. Ideal fabrics are 6-8oz cotton canvas, denim, or similar. Please keep in mind what your machine is capable of sewing through, as we will need to sew through multiple layers of fabric.
1/2 yard of medium weight woven fabric for the exterior accent fabric (pockets, strap, & strap holders). Ideal fabrics are 6-8oz cotton canvas, denim, or similar.
1/2 - 3/4 yard of medium weight fabric for bag lining (including interior pockets). Fabric quantity depends on view being sewn. Ideal fabric option is quilt weight cotton or similar.
1 7/8 - 2 1/4 yards of medium weight woven interfacing (like SF101). Quantity depends on view being sewn. If choosing a 7-9oz canvas, or a waxed canvas, the interfacing can be omitted for the exterior pieces.
Thread
One 10-12” regular zipper for top closure. Length depends on view being sewn. (This can be a plastic, nylon, or metal zipper, but it cannot be an invisible zipper.)
Two 1” wide D-rings
Two 1” wide swivel clasps
One 1” wide strap slider
One 18mm thin magnetic snap (or, one size 24 metal snap as a substitution) for front pocket closure. (Tip: I suggest getting at least one spare as a backup.)
If you would rather make your strap from webbing or leather, you will need approximately 50” of 1” wide strap material.
Note: Some supplies are available directly from Noodlehead:
Hardware kits for the D-rings, swivel clasps, & slider
10” nylon handbag zippers
12” nylon handbag zippers
10” metal handbag zippers

VIRTUAL WORKSHOP DETAILS:
Workshops are taught by me, Christine Haynes, live from my home studio
Attendance is limited to ensure personal one-on-one attention
Workshops are led virtually through Zoom, a free video conferencing software that can be downloaded here
Students will need access to a computer, smart phone, or tablet with internet access to participate in the workshop (note: the bigger your screen, the easier it is to see the action!)
I teach using two cameras, so you can always see a close up of each step being taught, as well as have face to face interaction
A Zoom link & password will be emailed a day ahead of the first class session to the email address used in checkout, so be sure to type your email correctly upon checkout
Workshop sessions will be recorded so students that get behind, or need to miss a session, can rewatch the previous lesson & catch up
The focus of my workshops are on construction & technique. Fit is discussed, but due to the nature of Zoom workshops, fitting instruction is limited
